Though hunted by predators
They will still survive

Living in icy lands
Comfy homes of ice or snow
Playing on the tundra

Both in land and sea
Strong in numbers they hunt food
Always wary of foes

White as their clean snow
Mostly black as the night
Splotches of orange

Awkwardly walking
Or swimming with grace of flight
Though not very fast

Guarding each other
Staying vigilant for all
Protecting their eggs

Braving long winters
And arctic months of darkness
The birds carry on
